Race Control
The Race Control staff controls the entire course of an event and, if necessary, reacts to incidents. This applies to rule violations, but of course also to accidents or other dangerous situations.
At the Red Bull Ring, this monitoring is carried out by means of trackside cameras that can be swivelled 360 degrees and have a high-resolution zoom function – which means that the race control team does not miss a single event on the track and its surroundings.

Medical Car
The Medical Car is manned by a doctor and an emergency paramedic and is used to provide primary care for drivers who have had an accident.
Due to its powerful engine, the Medical Car is able to follow the field during the starting lap and also to reach the scene of an accident quickly during a race without endangering other vehicles on the track due to excessive speed differences.
Extrication Team
Extrication teams consist of a doctor and five paramedics with special equipment and rescue drivers who are unable to extricate themselves from vehicles involved in an accident. The task of this team is to extricate the driver out of the vehicle as gently as possible so as not to cause him any further injuries during the rescue.
After successful rescue of the driver, he is handed over to the medical car team for further treatment.

Ground Posts
The ground posts take care of the drivers directly after an accident.
They act on the instructions of the Chief Medical Officer and thus ensure a fast and safe transport of all injured persons on the race track.
Medical Center
The Medical Center is the center of medical care for the entire circuit. The personnel and material capacities depend on the type of event and the expected number of spectators.
The Medical Center has a resuscitation area for the simultaneous treatment of two seriously injured patients. In addition, several lightly injured patients can be treated simultaneously in the two treatment rooms.

Computerized Tomography
At some major events, we are able to use a mobile CT unit for the examination of injured racing drivers.
This allows for rapid confirmation or exclusion of suspected injury patterns, allowing for even more accurate diagnosis.Helicopter
An emergency medical helicopter is available at the helipad in front of the Medical Center during major events for the rapid transport of injured persons to destination hospitals.
